For this project, I was asked by the director of the Department of Cultural Affairs in Montgomery, AL to create posters and banners to support the Global City Fest. This multicultural festival series celebrates the arts and cultures of Asian American and Pacific Islanders, Native Americans, and the last festival was for the youth in the community. I wanted the designs to be bright and playful and my goal was to incorporate different cultural and art elements that pertained to the different cultures celebrated. I had a lot of fun with this project and chose a dark blue background to help the text and colorful icons pop.
